Live-in houseparent role at Goshen New Beginnings, an independent living program in Canton for young adults ages 18–21. Single individuals or couples; three weeks on, one week off.

Goshen New Beginnings, Goshen Valley's independent living program for young adults ages 18 to 21, is hiring full-time Houseparent(s) at one of its Canton locations. The role is open to a single individual or a couple who can commit to a three-weeks-on, one-week-off schedule. Because the home serves young adults who may have complex needs, minor children cannot live in the home.

Teach a life skills curriculum to young men ages 17.5 to 21
Transport youth to appointments, work, and school, and help with recreational activities
When not in the home: on-call emergency help, fill-in and overnight coverage, and support for the Life Coach team

What you'll need

A bachelor's degree in a related field, or a high school diploma plus at least three years' experience working with youth
Understanding of, and ability to work with, youth from hard places
TCI, CPI, or Safety Care certification preferred
Ability to provide moral, ethical, and spiritual leadership in line with GVF's programs
Strong communication, organization, confidentiality, and Microsoft Office skills
Must pass a health exam, drug and background checks, hold a valid driver's license, and be insurable by GVF's carrier

Pay and benefits: $44,000 to $60,000 a year. Benefits for eligible employees include medical, dental, and vision; 401(k) with annual employer match; paid time off; life insurance; voluntary benefits; HSA/FSA; a cell phone stipend; a CALM app subscription; and an Employee Assistance Program.
